Manifold Conversion
I purchased a brand new Victor junior manifold for conversion, at £200 this is a rather expensive route, but wanted to develop the Fuel injection off the car, plus the single plane design is better suited to port injection: (or so i thought..)
Firstly, The manifold is clamped down and bored out from underneath my by late father
What's surprising is the sheer thickness of the Victor Junior Manifold, There's almost enough material to not even require fabricating injector bungs.
It requires extensive preheating before tig welding
Because the manifold is so thick, the bungs are hardly exposed, which makes tig welding quite tricky.
Each one needed spot facing to get a flush finish.
Dad's workshop is also made-
Once the bungs are welded in, they require cutting and blending in.
